Today we celebrated our local Veterans. After our school assembly, we were lucky enough to have Austin's grandfather and JD's grandfather come to our classroom and visit with our class. They shared about their experiences in the armed forces. We want to thank all our Veteran's for their service.
Kamryn's Flat Stanley came back from McKinney, TX. Kamryn's aunt took Flat all around. She got to learn about so many things in Texas. She even got to ride a trolley! Flat came back with a little cowgirl hat. One interesting fact we learned is that Benjo was filmed there. Texas is a beautiful place.
Nicole's Flat Stanley is back from Chesterton, Indiana. Her cousin showed us all the fun things she does in Indiana. She also taught us about Indiana University which is close by. What a beautiful town!
Ryker's Flat Stanley came back from South Dakota today. His Flat went to Brookings, South Dakota to visit his friend, Bria. Flat Stanley had a great time visiting her during Halloween. We learned about the weather can get really cold there so you need to back clothes that will keep you warm while you are there. We also learned that Brookings is a very small place. Flat Stanley had a great time visiting SDSU!
Maria's Flat Stanley is back from the fascinating state of Indiana. Her Flat Stanley went to visit her friend Alessandra at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Flat traveled 150 miles to visit there. We also learned that the city has a the Wabash River that runs along side it. What a great place!
