Valentine's Day
We had a wonderful Valentine's Day party. A special thank you to the parents who volunteered their time. We had a great day!
Caring Blankets
On Valentine's Day we completed a caring project. We created four blankets as a class. These blankets were donated to Lurie Children's Hospital downtown to be giving to four children. It was a great time to remind us how fortunate we are to be able to celebrate Valentine's Day with our friends and family.

Forces in Action
Today we began our next science unit, Forces in Action. We began the unit last week by creating a list of questions to help guide us through the experimentation process. Today, we explored the definition of force. We learned that forces can be a push or a pull. We tried different ways to move a car, including making the car move without even touching it. Here are a couple videos of the students experimenting with forces.

Global School Play Day
Today our class participated in Global School Play Day, a day to give time for students to be creative! Before today, we created a list of ideas of what they could do during this time. Some of the items on our list included playing board games, drawing, building something, writing a story or poem, creating a play, and/or writing a song.
Today, during our hour this afternoon, the students did a wonderful job exploring their interests. Some students learned how to airbrush artwork, others played a variety of games. Some students built with different supplies. We had a great time letting our creativity shine through!
