We are about to begin our first science unit in class. This week we talk about science and inquiry. We learned how scientist use the scientific process to develop their own experiments to help them understand our world and provide change. We talked about the importance of having a hypothesis.
This week the students designed their own experiments. In small groups, they developed a question, designed an experiment, created a hypothesis, documented their results, and developed a conclusion summarizing their learning. Here are some pictures of the experiments they designed:
